When I go to life drawing class at the Society of Illustrators in Manhattan, there are always gangs of women there. They sit in packs sketching up a storm. I was sitting opposite the stage where the model was posing, facing them. I drew them while they seriously pounded out their series of 2 and 5 minute poses. They dominate the proceedings, while I try to remain invisible.
